"Cass Gilbert's Palace of 1904"
This pastel painting of the Saint Louis Art Museum was done on commission by one of my collectors. The museum was designed by architect Cass Gilbert for the 1904 World's Fair, held in St. Louis. There are more than 30,000 art works dating from antiquity to the present, including works by Matisse, Gauguin, Monet, Picasso and Van Gogh.
